Repeat prescriptions:  We are able to provide repeat prescriptions. Please give us 24 hours notice when requesting.

Urgent prescription’s requested prior to 2pm, we will attempt to have these with you by the end of day. After 2pm it will be the following business day.

Repeat-prescription changes from February 2026.

From February 2026, some patients with stable, long-term health conditions may be able to receive prescriptions that last for up to 12 months.

You need to know that pharmacies will continue to dispense medications in the usual way. This means you will only receive a maximum of three months’ supply at a time, (or 6 months for an oral contraceptive).

All of the remaining repeats will need to be collected from the same pharmacy (no exceptions for travel, limited physical mobility or relocation.) and need to be picked up within 12 months of the prescription being issued.

For many medications there will be no change in prescribing. We are unable to issue 12‑month prescriptions for controlled medications, such as strong pain relief or ADHD treatments. These medicines require regular reviews to ensure they remain effective and safe
